About this wine
Serendipia is the oak-aged Syrah of Pago de Aylés, the Aldeya estate at Mezalocha near Zaragoza in Aragón, aged 15 months in French oak. The 2013 is very deep and brilliant in colour, with an elegant, balanced nose of ripe fruit, violets and fine oak. Fresh and velvety on the palate, it shows attractive toasty notes and hints of chocolate and tapenade, finishing long and pleasant. Now over a decade old, it is drinking at maturity.
