About this wine
Sauvage is Anne Pichon's lively Vermentino from a one-hectare plot on clay soils in the hot, dry, Mistral-swept Vaucluse. After direct pressing, it ferments for about a month in stainless steel and spends four more months in tank. Expect grapefruit, fresh apple, green almond, hawthorn, pear and pineapple, then a crisp, taut palate with minerality and gently bittersweet almond hints.
