from the producer

Barefoot began in 1965, when Davis Bynum made the first Barefoot Bynum Burgundy in his garage in Albany, California. The name became Barefoot Cellars in 1986, along with the now-famous footprint label.

Winemaker Jennifer Wall joined in 1995 and has led the wines ever since. Barefoot calls itself the most awarded wine brand in the world, and Wine Enthusiast named it 2025 American Winery of the Year.
