About this wine
Bertrand de Monceny's 2023 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur comes from Valmur, one of the Grand Cru climats of Chablis, Burgundy's northernmost wine district. Chablis whites are made from Chardonnay grown on ancient Jurassic soils, a terroir associated with mineral, flinty character. This bottling sits at the top of the house's Chablis offering. Bertrand de Monceny is a Beaune négociant-éleveur with roots in the local grape-broking trade, whose wines aim for elegance, freshness and subtlety.

from the producer
Bertrand de Monceny is a Burgundy wine house based in Beaune. The family, originally from Savoie, traded textiles and then brokered grapes and must between growers and merchants. Bertrand de Monceny joined in 1955 and added négociant-éleveur work, with his own cellars and bottling in Beaune. Today the brand belongs to Beaune's Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois.
