About this wine
Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc is the wine that helped put New Zealand on the map. The 2025 is open and expressive, with peach, elderflower, makrut lime and freshly squeezed lemon on the nose.
On the palate, lemon-curd brightness sits over white nectarine, with a salty, dune-grass freshness like a sea breeze. Citrus acidity keeps it poised through an elegant finish. It is lovely now, and the winery says it will age for at least ten years.

from the producer
Cloudy Bay was founded in Marlborough in 1985 by David Hohnen, with Kevin Judd as its founding winemaker. The winery says its Sauvignon Blanc put New Zealand on the map.
Its first Sauvignon Blanc was made from bought-in Marlborough grapes before the winery in the Wairau Valley was built.
