About this wine
This 2023 Mâcon-Verzé is a white Burgundy from Domaine de la Belouse, a Mâconnais estate on the edge of Berzé-la-Ville. The Mâcon-Verzé name is reserved for wines from a defined area of the village of Verzé, whose vines grow mostly on a long west-facing slope between 280 and 410 metres, on alternating limestone and soft marl. Made from Chardonnay, the white grape of the Mâconnais, it is produced in the domaine's modern, purpose-built cellar.

from the producer
Domaine de la Belouse lies in the heart of the Mâconnais, between Mâcon and Cluny, where Berzé-la-Ville meets La Roche-Vineuse and Milly-Lamartine. Founded in 1973, the estate has grown steadily and now farms about 30 hectares, making some 2,000 hectolitres a year in a purpose-built winery that combines modern equipment with traditional know-how.
