The Mâcon-Villages appellation is limited to 26 named communes of the Mâconnais, among them La Roche-Vineuse and Milly-Lamartine, the villages bordering the estate. Domaine de la Belouse lies in the heart of the Mâconnais, between Mâcon and Cluny, where Berzé-la-Ville meets La Roche-Vineuse and Milly-Lamartine. Founded in 1973, the estate has grown steadily and now farms about 30 hectares, making some 2,000 hectolitres a year in a purpose-built winery that combines modern equipment with traditional know-how.
