About this wine

The 2016 Chapelle is a finely detailed white Châteauneuf-du-Pape from La Bastide Saint Dominique. Made entirely from Clairette Rose, it grows on sandy plateau parcels around Pignan and Saint Georges, with rounded stones scattered through the soils. Direct pressing and careful settling precede a split élevage: half the wine rests in barrel and half in tank for six months. Its pale gold hue and lifted white-peach, pear, honey and pine-nut profile lead into a pure, rounded palate refreshed by a lively finish.

from the producer

La Bastide Saint Dominique is a family-run Southern Rhône estate founded by the Bonnet family around a former 16th-century chapel. Now spanning 50 hectares, it farms organically and works across Châteauneuf-du-Pape and neighboring Rhône appellations. Eric Bonnet has directed the domaine’s production and cellar operations since 1999, combining family continuity with a modern technical approach.
