Mollydooker’s 2022 The Scooter is a McLaren Vale Merlot from the Long Gully Road vineyard. It opens with cherry and forest-fruit fragrance, then brings generous plum and berry flavors across a smooth, poised palate. Mollydooker began in 2006 when Sparky and Sarah Marquis launched their own Australian wine brand. After acquiring a McLaren Vale winery in 2007, they replanted with Shiraz and established a fruit-texture benchmark called Marquis Fruit Weight™. The company’s name refers to an Australian term for a left-handed person, reflecting both founders.
