About this wine

Paris Valley Road’s 2017 Merlot brings California fruit into a Bordeaux-minded blend, with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon adding shape to the Merlot core. Fruit from Chalk Knoll Vineyard gives the wine a focused sense of place, while 14 months in French oak—20% new—adds gentle spice around ripe blackberry, plum, cassis and dark-cherry character. Sleek tannins and a structured finish keep the generous fruit balanced. It is a polished, full-bodied red for the dinner table or a relaxed glass.
