About this wine
Protos Verdejo 2024 is a young Rueda white made entirely from Verdejo, from dry-farmed vines more than 15 years old on gravelly soils. The grapes are harvested at night, given a short four-to-five-hour cold maceration and aged on fine lees for about three months, which adds structure and body. Bright straw-yellow with green hints, it opens with pineapple and citrus, then apple and herbs such as boxwood and fennel; the palate is dry, fresh and balanced, ending long with the gently bitter note typical of the variety.
