About this wine
Ridge sources this Chenin Blanc from the Heringer family's vineyard in Clarksburg, in the Sacramento River Delta, where afternoon breezes from the Pacific cool warm days. The grapes were hand-picked, given brief skin contact for aromatic complexity, whole-cluster pressed and fermented on native yeasts in stainless steel, then aged three months in tank. Ridge says it drinks well now and will develop over about four years.

Geyserville, first made in 1966, is its longest continuous Zinfandel, and the winery is known for minimal-intervention winemaking with native yeasts and for listing every step it takes on each label.
