About this rum

STARR 7 Year Oak Aged Rum comes from a single estate on Mauritius, the Indian Ocean island east of Madagascar, where the sugarcane is grown, distilled, aged, blended and bottled on site. A blend of rums matured seven years in oak, it shows rich oak, vanilla, caramel, nutmeg and cinnamon, with a fruitier, tropical edge than many whiskey-like aged rums. The brand recommends it neat, on the rocks or in an Old Fashioned or Manhattan.

STARR Rum is made on the island of Mauritius at a distillery in operation for nearly 100 years, using cane grown on the estate. Created in 2005 under the African Union's NEPAD programme, it brings fair-trade, 100% Made-in-Africa rums to the US and runs on cane energy and solar power.
