About this tequila
Cascahuín Reposado rests for six to eight months in American oak barrels that have been used to mature tequila for more than 20 years. Old wood gives a light touch, so the cooked agave from the masonry ovens stays in front.
Expect cooked agave with soft spice such as cinnamon and a little oak. It is good neat or over a large ice cube, and makes a fine Paloma.

from the producer
Tequila Cascahuín has made tequila since 1904 in El Arenal, Jalisco, at the gateway to the agave landscape of the Tequila Valley. The name, chosen by founder Salvador Rosales Briseño, comes from a pre-Hispanic word read as 'hill of light'. The family still runs the distillery, cooks agave in masonry ovens and makes its tequilas without additives.
