About this tequila
Don Julio 1942 honors the year Don Julio González began making tequila. It is an añejo produced in small batches and aged for at least two and a half years, far longer than the one-year minimum for the category.
That time in oak shows: the nose is all caramel and chocolate, and the palate brings warm oak and vanilla over roasted agave, with a long, oaky finish. It is a tequila for sipping slowly, in the tall, slender bottle that has become a fixture of cocktail bars and restaurants.
