About this wine
Chalone Vineyard, on California's Central Coast, has the oldest producing vines in Monterey County. It has its own appellation, the Chalone AVA, and was planted by a grower who went looking for limestone soils like those of Burgundy.
Chalone Chardonnay has a famous history: the 1974 placed third among the white wines at the 1976 Judgment of Paris tasting. This Estate Chardonnay is made from the estate's own vines. This is the 2021 vintage.
