About this wine

Indian Wells is Chateau Ste. Michelle's richer, riper Chardonnay, from vineyards in Washington's Columbia Valley. It's almost all Chardonnay, sometimes with a dash of aromatic Muscat Canelli.

Most of the wine is aged on its lees for several months in a mix of French and American oak, neutral barrels and stainless steel. That gives it a creamy texture without too much oak. This is the 2020 vintage.

Chateau Ste. Michelle describes itself as Washington State's founding winery, based in Woodinville. It sources from vineyards across the Columbia Valley, which lies in the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains and gets only 6–8 inches of rain a year.
