About this wine
Greywacke’s 2025 Sauvignon Blanc brings a generous Marlborough expression shaped by fruit from the Southern Valleys and central Wairau Plains. Ripe white peach, pear, blossom and lime lead into honeydew and nectarine, while shell-like savoriness and chalky texture add depth. Fermentation in stainless steel and time on lees preserve freshness while giving the wine a fuller feel. The finish turns distinctly mouthwatering, with a bright lemon-sherbet snap that keeps the fruit lively.

from the producer
Greywacke is the Judd family’s Marlborough label, established in 2009 and based in the Omaka Valley. Founder Kevin Judd, a pioneer of New Zealand wine, previously directed Cloudy Bay’s first 25 vintages. The name honors New Zealand’s characteristic greywacke stone, found across local rivers and vineyard soils.
