About this wine
For 2022, Joseph Phelps assembles grapes from prominent valley sites such as Suscol, Yountville, St. Helena, Rutherford, Stags Leap, Oak Knoll and Oakville. The recipe is 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller portions of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Merlot. Black cherry, pomegranate, cassis and cedar shape the aroma, while raspberry preserve and dried wild berries give the full-bodied palate depth. Sixteen months in French and American oak lends seasoning to its poised, structured style.
