About this brandy
In the Domfrontais, Calvados must contain at least 30% pear; Lemorton's Réserve uses 70–80%. The cider ferments on its lees for nine to ten months, goes through a single distillation on a wood-fired copper column still, then ages four to six years in used French oak.
Rich, oxidative pear aromas with vanilla and mint; a slightly viscous palate of gentian and cocoa, with firm tannin and great length.
