About this wine
Markham's 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is almost entirely estate grown, pairing the richness of Yountville Ranch with the bright, juicy fruit of the Rockerbox vineyard in Calistoga. A moderate season without long heat spells gave small, flavour-packed berries. After 23 days on the skins in stainless steel, the wine aged 17 months in French oak, a little over a third new. Expect dark chocolate, blackberry and mocha, then a dense palate of blackberry jam, toasty oak and briar with firm, lasting tannins.
