About this wine
Paul Hobbs’ 2022 Russian River Valley Chardonnay draws on fruit from multiple sites shaped by cool coastal influence and varied soils. The wine opens with citrus peel, Asian pear, apple, tropical fruit and gardenia, then layers brioche, cream and savory minerality across a bright, energetic palate. Whole-cluster pressing, native-yeast barrel fermentation and lees aging build texture while preserving lift. Its clean, crisp finish makes this a polished expression of cool-climate California Chardonnay.
