PlumpJack’s 2023 Reserve Chardonnay brings together fruit from Napa Valley’s cool Los Carneros and warmer St. Helena sites. The blend of origins gives this white both freshness and breadth, while stainless-steel fermentation preserves lively fruit and French oak contributes gentle texture. Its aromatic profile moves from citrus, green apple and wet stone toward melon, nectarine, honeysuckle and restrained spice. On the palate, rounded richness is sharpened by vibrant acidity and a creamy lemon-custard character that carries through a persistent finish.

PlumpJack’s roots reach back to a San Francisco wine-and-spirits shop founded by Gavin Newsom in 1992. Today, PlumpJack Estate Winery is based in Oakville, Napa Valley, with 42 planted acres across an alluvial fan shaped by Vaca Mountain landslides. Diverse clay, loam, silt and gravelly soils support a range of estate varieties.
