About this wine
Charlotte's Home takes its name from a 71-acre Alexander Valley vineyard planted to Sauvignon Blanc, where well-drained soils, sunny days and cool evenings shape a crisp Sonoma County style. In 2019, 82% of the wine was fermented in stainless steel, while 18% was fermented in barrel and put through malolactic for extra texture. Rodney Strong describes grapefruit, Meyer lemon and light grassy notes leading to tropical fruit, melon and a clean, refreshing finish.

Rodney Strong Vineyards dates from 1959, when Rod Strong, one of Sonoma County's early wine pioneers, started it in Healdsburg; the Klein family has owned it since 1989. Strong planted the first Chardonnay in what became the Chalk Hill AVA in 1965, and the winery now farms more than a thousand acres of estate vineyards across Sonoma County.
