About this wine
Silver Oak planted roots in Alexander Valley before the AVA even existed, and founding winemaker Justin Meyer championed it for world-class Cabernet. The 2021 vintage — a dry winter, cool spring and gentle summer — gave fruit with depth and vibrancy. Following the winery’s signature approach, the wine was blended first, in early 2022, then aged 24 months in American oak barrels from Silver Oak’s own cooperage, and released in August 2025. Cedar, vanilla and clove frame blackberry, black cherry and ripe raspberry, with silky tannins, bright acidity and a long, polished finish.
