About this wine

Silver Oak’s 2020 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a vintage that began dry before timely spring rains, an early bloom and a summer of cool mornings and sunny afternoons. The blend is 81.6% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Malbec, released in February 2025. Ruby in colour, it brings black and blue fruit — plum and blueberry — with hints of baking spice. Smooth and refined, with silky tannins giving structure without weight, it should develop well in the cellar through 2042.

Silver Oak began in 1972 when Ray Duncan and Justin Meyer chose to devote their Oakville project to Cabernet Sauvignon. The family-run California winery farms in Napa and Alexander Valley, ages its wines in 100% American oak, and owns a Missouri cooperage for hands-on control of barrel wood, seasoning and toast.
