About this wine

Talbott’s Kali Hart Chardonnay comes from the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County, drawing on the Sleepy Hollow Vineyard about 12 kilometres south of Monterey Bay, where well-drained sand, gravel and granite soils and cool coastal conditions concentrate flavour. About 65% is fermented in stainless steel and 35% in French oak barrels, followed by nine months of ageing in both. Golden Delicious apple and pear meet tropical notes of kaffir lime and pineapple, with butterscotch and brioche touched by cinnamon and nutmeg — a fruity, refreshing cool-climate Chardonnay.
