About this wine

The Allomi Vineyard, east of Howell Mountain, was acquired by Donald Hess in 1995; its 210 acres are farmed in 35 blocks with six Cabernet Sauvignon clones. The 2022 blends 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with 8% Petite Sirah and 2% Petit Verdot and ages 18 months in oak, 30% of it new American. Currant, blackberry and vanilla lead to black and red cherry and raspberry, with plush, well-integrated tannins and cocoa and subtle oak spice on the finish.
