About this wine
Zuccardi Q, launched in 1999, was the first wine to carry the Zuccardi family name; the “Q” marks the carefully chosen parcels that receive special attention. The 2023 Malbec blends fruit from two Uco Valley appellations, IG Paraje Altamira at about 1,100 metres and IG Los Chacayes at about 1,000 metres, each parcel picked separately. Fermented with native yeasts in concrete after gravity filling, it is aged in concrete and used, untoasted 500-litre French oak. The warm, very dry 2023 season brought healthy grapes and lower yields after spring frost. Expect fresh red fruit, flowers and herbs with hints of spice and mint, then firm, ripe tannins, medium body and a notably long finish.

Familia Zuccardi is a Mendoza wine family whose vineyards date to 1963. Under third-generation leadership, the estate developed a dedicated Uco Valley focus, researching the valley’s varied terroirs and opening its Uco winery in 2016. Zuccardi Q, first released in 1999, remains a family milestone and a regional blend built from carefully selected vineyard parcels.
