About this wine
Alessandro Rivetto's 2021 Barbera d'Alba is made entirely from Barbera grown in the township of Alba and picked by hand. The destemmed grapes ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel at around 30°C, with roughly twelve days on the skins, before the wine rests about ten months in Slavonian oak casks and then several months in bottle. Expect a vivid ruby red with ripe red fruit, blackberry and plum, a full body and gentle tannins that make it an easy partner at the table.
