About this wine
Rivetto’s 2016 Barolo Riserva is 100% Nebbiolo from the Barolo communes, harvested by hand, destemmed and cold-soaked for two days before a temperature-controlled fermentation in steel with roughly twenty days of maceration. The Riserva then spends 62 months maturing, 18 of them in wood, before release. Garnet with orange highlights, it has a pleasant, intense, ethereal nose and a palate that is austere yet velvety, robust and balanced, with soft, sweet tannins.

Alessandro Rivetto runs his family estate from the hamlet of Annunziata in La Morra, continuing a winegrowing tradition handed down by his great-grandfather Giovanni and grandfather Ercole. The winery farms Nebbiolo in Serralunga d'Alba, including the Lazzarito MGA, plus vineyards in La Morra, Sinio and the Barbaresco area of Alba, aiming to let each parcel show its own character.
