About this wine
Offered here in magnum, the 2015 Leonilde is Alessandro Rivetto's longer-aged Barbera d'Alba. Hand-picked Barbera from the Alba township spends around 25 days on its skins in temperature-controlled steel, then about a year in large Slavonian casks and a further five months in small barrels. Expect a deep, lively ruby wine, full in body, with intense ripe red fruit, blackberry and prune and delicate tannins.

The winery farms Nebbiolo in Serralunga d'Alba, including the Lazzarito MGA, plus vineyards in La Morra, Sinio and the Barbaresco area of Alba, aiming to let each parcel show its own character.
