About this wine
Les Aubaguetes is a single 1.34-hectare vineyard in Bellmunt del Priorat, planted with very old Garnacha and Cariñena (Samsó) on north-facing slate slopes. Many shaded spots mean less sun and slower ripening than elsewhere, and the plot was once used for Les Terrasses before Álvaro Palacios began bottling it on its own. The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed, fermented in wooden vats with punch-downs and matured in large foudres. This is the 2016 vintage.
