About this wine
Pèppoli, first made in 1985, is Antinori's fruit-forward Chianti Classico: Sangiovese plus complementary grapes, aged mainly in large Slavonian oak casks. The 2023 is bright ruby, with violets, dog rose and lavender over currants, wild strawberry and raspberry purée. Fresh on entry, it builds energy and finishes savoury, with supple tannins.
