About this wine
Made from grapes dried after harvest in the traditional Amarone way, the Benedetti family's 2018 Amarone Classico is grown and hand-picked on their own Gargagnago vineyards in the heart of the Classico zone. Expect a deep red with garnet glints, ripe cherry and wild berry fruit lifted by balsamic tones and a light touch of barrique, a full yet balanced palate with gentle tannins, and a long finish recalling fruit preserved in spirit.

Benedetti Corte Antica is a family winery in Gargagnago, in the Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella area of the Valpolicella Classica zone. Brothers Giuseppe, Davide and Simone took over the vineyards of their father, Luigi, in 1995 and began making Amarone for sale in 2003. They use only estate-grown, hand-picked grapes from the Classico zone and from newer vineyards at Marcellise.
