About this wine
From the hill vineyards set back above the Côte de Nuits, this 2023 Hautes-Côtes de Nuits is a Pinot Noir red bottled by the Beaune house of Bertrand de Monceny. The business grew out of a family of wine brokers working with growers across the Côte d'Or; Bertrand joined in 1955 and started raising and bottling wines under the family name. The house aims for elegance, freshness and subtlety, qualities this cooler upland appellation tends to suit.

from the producer
Bertrand de Monceny is a Burgundy wine house based in Beaune. The family, originally from Savoie, traded textiles and then brokered grapes and must between growers and merchants. Bertrand de Monceny joined in 1955 and added négociant-éleveur work, with his own cellars and bottling in Beaune. Today the brand belongs to Beaune's Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois.
