It comes from a Beaune house whose family worked as wine brokers before Bertrand de Monceny joined in 1955 and added his own négociant-éleveur activity, with cellars and bottling in Beaune. from the producer
Bertrand de Monceny is a Burgundy wine house based in Beaune. The family, originally from Savoie, traded textiles and then brokered grapes and must between growers and merchants. Bertrand de Monceny joined in 1955 and added négociant-éleveur work, with his own cellars and bottling in Beaune. Today the brand belongs to Beaune's Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois.
