About this wine
Moulin-à-Vent is often called the king of the Beaujolais crus, the one whose Gamay has the most structure. This 2022 carries the label of Bertrand de Monceny of Beaune — originally courtiers linking growers with merchants, later a négociant with its own cellars — whose house style leans to elegance and freshness.

from the producer
Bertrand de Monceny is a Burgundy wine house based in Beaune. The family, originally from Savoie, traded textiles and then brokered grapes and must between growers and merchants. Bertrand de Monceny joined in 1955 and added négociant-éleveur work, with his own cellars and bottling in Beaune. Today the brand belongs to Beaune's Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois.
