About this wine
The Chocolate Block is a Syrah-led Swartland blend — in 2023, 74% Syrah with Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and a dash of Viognier. Whole berries ferment spontaneously in concrete and steel with no additions, then the wine spends 12–14 months in seasoned French barriques. Expect black- and blueberry, bramble, black olive and white pepper, with a juicy, velvety, medium-to-full palate.
