About this wine
From the Lurton-Cogombles family's classified estate south of Bordeaux, the 2015 Château Bouscaut is a round, generous Pessac-Léognan built on Cabernet Sauvignon (56%), Merlot and 6% Malbec. Fermented in stainless steel and concrete with pump-overs to tame thick, tannic skins, then aged in oak barrels of which 40% were new, it pairs deep colour and black-fruit intensity with coated, supple tannins — a natural match for a Bordeaux-style rib steak.
