About this wine

Château de La Dauphine farms its Fronsac vineyard on clay and limestone organically, certified since 2015, and biodynamically. The 2022 was picked plot by plot between 8 and 23 September, fermented at 26°C with 25 days on the skins, then aged 12 months in amphorae and large casks, 30% of the wood new. Merlot leads, giving a spicy, aromatic red with dark berries and licorice on the nose and a juicy, fresh, chalky palate.
