After a mild, rainy winter, a calm flowering on 23 May and summer heatwaves that the estate's gravel-over-clay soils weathered well, d'Issan picked Merlot from 25 September to 2 October and Cabernet Sauvignon from 2 to 11 October. Vinified parcel by parcel in temperature-controlled steel with gentle extraction, Blason d'Issan 2019 is 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged with 35% new barrels. The estate describes the vintage as a perfect balance of sun-ripened aromas and tannin texture: harmonious and silky.
