About this wine
Grand Corbin's 2016 is 80% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines averaging 40 years on light sands over blue clay. Hand-picked and sorted before and after destemming, it was vinified in wooden and cement vats and aged 12 months in French oak, 40% new. The estate describes a very deep colour, a still-reserved bouquet and a lively, dense palate of tobacco, blackberry, cherry, plum and a touch of wood on an opulent, soft and compact structure, with a great future ahead.
