About this wine
A dry winter, a warm spring and a spectacular summer of repeated heatwaves made 2022 a historic, early vintage at Latour-Martillac; mid-August and early-September rain helped the reds finish ripening. Hand-picked plot by plot (Merlot 6–15 September, Cabernet Sauvignon 19–28 September), the wine aged 12–14 months in French oak, 40% new, and was bottled at the château in May 2024. The estate notes a dark hue with violet glints, intense black and red fruit with a touch of clove, a rounded, fresh, finely balanced palate and a long, peppery finish.
