About this wine
2018 brought mild, wet months and record mildew pressure, which Pédesclaux's estuary-side vines largely escaped; half the vineyard is now farmed on organic and biodynamic principles. July turned hot and dry, with 20% more sunshine than normal, giving small, aromatic berries; harvest ran from 25 September to 12 October. The estate describes Cabernet Sauvignon with a fine tannic texture, fresh and subtle Cabernet Franc, fleshy, explosive Merlot and Petit Verdot with spice and violets.
