About this wine
The Malet Roquefort family owned Château Puyblanquet from 1807 to 1959 and bought it back in 2020, making this its first vintage on their return. The 19 hectares lie entirely on the limestone plateau and clay-limestone slopes of Saint-Émilion. The 2020, 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, aged 12 months in barrels, half new. Ripe black fruit with spice and a light touch of oak lead to a supple, round palate with well-integrated tannins and a persistent, fresh finish with licorice. Enjoyable now, it can keep 10–12 years.
