About this wine
Michel Rolland called 2018 one of the finest Uco Valley harvests in 30 years: dry and cool, with record day–night temperature swings and an early, healthy harvest. From vineyards at 1,100 metres in Vistaflores, the blend of 55% Malbec, 19% Merlot, 12% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc was hand-picked, double-sorted, moved by gravity and matured 11 months (70% in French oak, a third new; 30% in vat), unfined and unfiltered. Rolland describes a deep red wine with dark fruit, blackberry, blueberry, floral notes and delicate spice, and a generous, silky, full-bodied palate with rounded tannins, freshness and length.
