About this wine
Dal Cero's Valpolicella is the freshest wine from the family's eastern Valpolicella estate, made from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grown on volcanic and limestone soils at around 300 metres. The grapes ferment in stainless steel for ten to twelve days and the wine then rests in concrete vats rather than oak. Expect a bright ruby red with a fine nose of cherry and cherry blossom and a crisp, lingering palate. This is the 2016 vintage.

The Dal Cero family has made wine since 1934, when Augusto Dal Cero bought volcanic hillside land at Roncà near Verona. His sons Dario and Giuseppe added Tenuta Montecchiesi in Cortona, and the third generation - Davide, Nico and Francesca - created an estate in eastern Valpolicella, on a terrace above Verona with volcanic and limestone soils.
