About this wine
Les Procès is a premier cru in the southern part of Nuits-Saint-Georges, where Arnoux-Lachaux farms around 0.6 hectares mid-slope on clay-limestone, with vines planted in the 1970s. The 2013 was made in the early years of sixth-generation Charles Lachaux, soon after the domaine first introduced partial whole-cluster fermentation in 2012, and was aged mainly in barrel. It is a mature bottle from an estate whose wines are now among the most sought-after in Burgundy.

Founded in 1858 in Vosne-Romanée and known as Domaine Robert Arnoux until 2007, Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux farms 14.5 hectares of Pinot Noir across six Côte de Nuits villages. Sixth-generation Charles Lachaux, mentored by Lalou Bize-Leroy, has transformed the estate with organic farming, untrimmed arched canopies and a growing share of whole-cluster fermentation.
