About this wine
Les Procès is a premier cru in the southern part of Nuits-Saint-Georges, where the domaine's 1970s vines grow mid-slope in clay-limestone. 2019 was the first year that no vine on the estate was trimmed; yields were tiny, the grapes were picked early, fermented as whole clusters without destemming and macerated for only about a week. Yields across the estate ranged from 13 to 24 hectolitres per hectare, and new oak for the premiers crus was around 20%.
Highlights
- 2019 vintage, Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru AOC
- 100% Pinot Noir, whole-cluster fermented (no destemming)

from the producer
Founded in 1858 in Vosne-Romanée and known as Domaine Robert Arnoux until 2007, Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux farms 14.5 hectares of Pinot Noir across six Côte de Nuits villages. Sixth-generation Charles Lachaux, mentored by Lalou Bize-Leroy, has transformed the estate with organic farming, untrimmed arched canopies and a growing share of whole-cluster fermentation.
